Description

Very difficult to find a property like this, at this price. Not even a manufactured home, single-wide or double-wide, sitting on 1.5 level, cleared acres would beat this price! Home was built in 1950 by the owner's father and has been in the family ever since. New replacement windows. Decorative iron storm doors, front and back, for added security. In the country, with a shallow creek bordering the property, but yet in Knox County close to the city of Knoxville. No subdivision restrictions. And, yes chickens are OK. Low property taxes. City water. Less than a mile from the entrance to House Mountain Natural Area and its 2.100-foot crest which provides exceptional views of the Cumberland Mountains, the Smoky Mountains, and the Clinch Mountain range. Hiking, viewing, bird watching, wildlife, right down the street from your front door. A very private setting with immediate access to county maintained roads. Purchase this home as a weekend vacation retreat, as a rental, or as a permanent home. Home is being sold "As Is" with all furniture, lamps, decor, appliances, dishware, included. Everything you see in these pictures is included. In other words, everything in the home is included in the $83,900 sales price. The property was recently appraised by a VA Appraiser at full price plus! Rare opportunity to buy a centrally located home close to Knoxville, in a beautiful setting, at an extremely affordable price.
This property is off market, which means it's not currently listed for sale or rent on Trulia. This may be different from what's available on other websites or public sources.

  • Brittany Ownby
"It’s very safe and there’s numerous families walking the neighborhood or playing with their kids at the park every night. "
  • Nicholas Montgomery
"This is a safe, quiet, and decent place to live. The commute takes a bit, as there’s only two main routes in and out of the city to here. "
  • Worm2619
"The high school hold a sweet golf tournament every year! Very well ran and organized can I please submit now"
  • CV
"Friendly, family oriented and with a strong community feel. A little rural paradise outside of the hustle and bustle of the city. "
  • Clearspringsbfarm
"Don’t let your kids near the roads. People drive like crazy maniacs. Teach your children about how not to litter. These people have never been taught and it’s a disgusting mess on the sides of the road."
  • Krpbwp
"Every one is nice , if you ever need anything all you have to do is ask, and they look out for each other's property. "
  • kpatrick1958
"Excellent place to live. No middle school, so if you have kids that age they have a long bus ride. Basics are here, but closest mall is 20 minutes away, downtown Knoxville is 30 minutes away and the hustle &bustle of west Knoxville is 40 minutes away. If you want a rural setting with the basic necessities nearby this might be for you."
  • jmcguire35
"I would highly recommend Graveston Estates. It is a peaceful subdivision that offers the safety of a neighborhood without being overcrowded or sterile. It would be an ideal location for any family with kids as the only traffic is from residents coming and going; kids are able to ride bikes and play without having to worry about traffic. The subdivision is in Knox County close to the border with Union County, yet only 20 minutes away from both the East Town Mall area and Broadway, and 15 minutes from Halls. The local schools, Gibbs Elementary and Gibbs High School are only a five minute drive. Other local services that may be of interest are the Corryton branch library (4-5 minute drive), Halls branch library (12 minutes drive) and a dump/recycling facility (6 minute drive.)"
  • Margo O.
"The people of the Gibbs Community have always been known for their friendliness, their goodness. The community is growing very fast as it is a favorite area in Knox County. Gibbs Schools are excellent. Only 6 miles from Halls Crossroads and Knoxville Center Mall and about 8 miles from Fountain City. Between Friendsville/Luttrell/Corryton/Halls/Fountain City."
