"I see dogs walking everywhere—all on leashes with attentive owners. Everyone is dog-friendly; we are near the center of town where many restaurants are dog-friendly. Many shop owners leave water bowls out for walking dogs."

"I don't think there is any public transportation. I don't live too far from downtown so I could probably walk it. I think there is a cab but it may need to be called a day ahead of time. They are putting in some bike lanes. Otherwise it is automobiles. "

"The town has a number of street festivals with Arts and crafts and food vendors. They just had a big bike race- Assault on the Carolinas. There is an annual AAUW used book sale with +30k books. Every 4th Friday of the month there is an arts walk. I live around the corner from the Lumberyard Arts area."

It has beautiful green spaces, is the entrance to the Pisgah National Forest for camping and hiking as well as home to the Brevard College and Brevard Music Center!
