My son attended Brighton North and Southwestern Middle school. He also participated in their "gifted" program and then qualified to attend the illinois math and science academy in aurora illinois. He was extremely prepared from the schooling. He received prior to attending the academy. /

You get out what you put in. Families and students who are involved in their learning can go far here, but if you’re just showing up to show up and get a diploma - they will let you slide through, which I believe contributes to the lower college readiness score. Teachers are here providing the materials for kids to succeed but they can only do so much with students who don’t wish to learn and parents who are not pushing them.The principal, Bearley, is on a power trip which has led to a steady decline in attitude and morale at this location. He is more concerned with nitpicking students and forcing discipline than encouraging a welcoming learning environment.

I go to school here, it's a good school, trust, no cap, and the teachers are good.
