New apartment unit on landlords property over a garage.
I have a one-bedroom apartment that I am willing to rent to an individual or couple who will provide service work as a caretaker for me on my rural property.
The apartment is new, one bdr with bath and kitchen. Kitchen is equipped with full sized refrigerator, induction two burner cooktop and large microwave. There is a washer and dryer in the garage below the apartment for your use. There is also some storage space for you in the garage below and a workbench that you can use.
The property is rural, without close neighbors, about 25 minutes from downtown Redding in the town of Old Shasta.
Base rate for rent is $1000 per month, however will credit towards rent based on a separate caretaker agreement. Base utilities and internet are included excess electrical will be billed to you.
I will need to establish that you are a responsible, relatively tidy person, with a clean record and some experience and good work ethic. Part time work or full-time work elsewhere in addition to caretaker duties is desirable. You will need to supply references both rental and work. Looking for a 1+ year committment at minimum.
One cat is acceptable.
Smoking or drug use is not permitted on my property.

Owner provides water, internet and sewer. Tenant is responsible for carrying garbage off site. Base electric is provided, tenant will reimburse owner for electrical above and beyond base rate of 300 KWH/M at PG&E tier 2 rates.
Short-term guests are acceptable. Over one week requires landlord approval and inclusion on lease.
Non-refundable pet deposit of $300 is required for one cat.
No smoking, drug use or loud music is permitted on premesis.
Rent is month-month and may be terminated with 30 days notice by either party.
Property is to be kept clean and tidy.
