5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school does not handle truancy. Instead, they talked me into transferring to an alternative school. Truancy happened again and George Washington said he couldn't come back. DPS gave me no options for schooling. My son was 15. I sent him to live with his noncustodial dad and that blew up in my face. They lost their home and ended up on the street. My son refuses to come home and wants to live in a youth shelter. DPS did this. They didn't allow him to attend anywhere nor correct the truancy. Nobody has listened to me or care. I contacted so many ppl in DPS with zero answers over the course of an entire year while working a full-time job and raising another child. "I like the neighborhood. I feel safe. There’s cool shops. The people are friendly and usually say hello. There’s a lot of dogs and people seem to pick up after them. The streets are clean and there’s usually always parking. "

"I’ve lived here over thirty years and moved here specifically for the schools and knowing it was safe for my children to walk to school and play outside. My children are grown now and even though many older people have moved, many younger families have moved in. It’s fun to see all the children playing outdoors and families getting to know one another"

"Sixth Avenue Parkway and Severn (designated bike route) are very popular for walking dogs, taking babies out in strollers, and jogging."

"Parks are great but there is a lot of traffic. I love going to the park with my dog. There are always others pups to play with! I do wish that there were a few more lights around the park for evening walks. "

"just another average, rather bland neighborhood in Denver. with a 5+ year Hole next door. building more overpriced condo's & apts not many can afford. if you consider 2+ miles in any direction a "High Walkscore", then you have no clue what a real city should feel like. yes it's safe, better the Caphill but that's not saying much. "
