I am writing a review of this school because everyone thinks so highly of it when in reality it is not even close to the best school. The teachers are wonderful and passionate about their jobs, but most of the staff mostly cares about their social status and not of the progress of the students. They are often unaware of all the terrible happenings at this school or at least choose to ignore them. I advise people to be aware of all of these schools, while it may have decent grades, the students themselves are not learning how to be responsible considering things other than academics.

This is a terrible school and they are very biased when it comes to certain students. I will not let another one of my kids attend this school again.

I have had multiple experiences with many children going to University avenue. Many different years. My daughter was not helped with dyslexia and they even mocked me for trying to get her help. Luckily I found a tutor that we paid for out of pocket and she was able to read 2 months later after they kept doing interventions and none of them helped her. They also never allowed her in the talent contest for 5 years she tried out. She is bi racial and I never thought it was because of that until years later my grandson attended there and they kept sending him home they even made him go to Compass learning center in kindergarten and they said he was too young for that. He was being disciplined. They picked on him until they finally sent him to Morris Bye for a level 3 learning. Immediately there was a better learning situation for him. At Morris Bye they did not even think he needed a level 3 and he is thriving there.They also started picking on my grandson's cousin for behavior issues she is also not white. I would seriously question sending my child here if they are not white. This school treats non white students like criminals.
