The Emmett School board/District is effectively the efficacy of the schools ability to educate children because of their focus on saving money! They took away summer school in order to have an exclusive math club after school two times a week for about two months. Only children that were slightly under grade level were invited to attend.. I was able to request for one of my daughters to be able to attend the math club. However, when I inquired as to why she had not been invited from the beginning I was told that her math scores were lower than the other students who were invited and that usually children with scores that low, come with behavior problems and that was something they were trying to avoid having to deal with. I was told since my daughter sid not have any behavior problems she could attend. Is that discrimination??

"We’ve lived here for a year after moving up from GA. It’s a quaint little town where everyone knows everyone. The local community hospital is great and easily accessible. Grocery, restaurants, parks, farmers market, etc.. all easily available. "

"I've lived in this neighborhood for 9 years. neighbor's are awesome. We have neighbors that feel comfortable in borrowing Roto tiller or our trailer to haul stuff. and they've been great recommending people for services needed."

"not bad depending on what time you leave. 630-730 expect traffic but not terrible. I commute to boise and manage to make it to my work in 30 - 40 minutes. "

"Emmett is a small community over the hill from Boise/Eagle area. Small town living yet close to everything anyone could possible desire. Town is a friendly community that engulfs you with so many things to do from horses to country fairs to 4-H; and activities almost every weekend. Might want to consider this area to live forever."
