According to TEA. Irvin High School is home to Advanced Placement (AP) Courses in Biology, Calculus, English Literature and Composition, Environmental Science, Human Geography, Spanish Language and Culture, and World History. In 2021-2022, the 65 year old school received bond money to renovate its campus to offer students a modern environment to reflect the current state of education.Irvin High School participates and excels in UIL athletic activities in Baseball, Boys Track and Cross Country, Girls Track and Cross Country, Football, Tennis, Boys Basketball, Girls Basketball, Boys Soccer, Girls Soccer, Boys Wrestling, Girls Wrestling, Boys Swim, Girls Swim, Volleyball, Girls Tennis, Boys Golf, Girls Golf, Baseball (boys), Softball (girls).In UIL academic activities, Irvin High School competes in Academic Decathlon and High-Q, One Act Play (Theater & Drama), Band (Marching & Concert), Orchestra (Symphonic & Concert), Dance Team competitions, Color Guard competitions, and Spirit competitions (cheerleading).Additionally, Irvin High School also has a JROTC program that competes at state and national competitions for Rifle Marksmanship, Drill (Armed and Unarmed), Orienteering, Color Guard, Honor Guard, Raiders, Drone Team competition and Cyber Patriot.Lastly, Irvin High School has a variety of clubs and student organizations that is recognized by the States of Texas and has been numerous awards and accolated in it 65 year history.

Horrible staff, my brother has been getting bullied and my mom has tried to talk to the principal multiple times but she’s always busy or on lunch and never gives her the time of the day, my mom has tried calling multiple times and it’s always the same thing not available or busy. How can we begin to fix a problem when it’s not even getting acknowledged in the first place. The principal and staff don’t care about their students. How can a child learn in an ugly environment where no one cares and he keeps getting harassed 0/10 school.

This is the absolute WORST school you could send your child to. There is no care for students mental health and well being. Students with disabilities are treated with no dignity and are not given the help they need to succeed. They are singled out, bullied, and not treated with the proper care. There is minimal or no training for students with disabilities, and it shows. Staff is quick to treat your child with no patience or compassion. I highly do not recommend this school do to the bullying and interrogation. Academics are proven to be at an all time low here and students are very ugly and disrespectful.
