It's the definition of mediocre. The worst thing is those stupid yondr pouches, they make you lock your phone in it for the entire day. What if there's an actual emergency? "We have a desk phone" No. We need to have direct access to our parents if we ever need it, not just teachers. And the metal detectors in the morning, for some people they always go off, and they need to have their bag searched which almost always makes them late to first period. There are always fights between people. In one of my classes, the teacher didn't even care to reprimand these two girls (in their class) who were SCREAMING at each other. The kids in the class were doing more than the teacher. Another classroom called the AP's and they took care of it while the teacher did nothing at all. Another thing is the how strict they are on being late to class. I have one class in the B hall of the Alex building, and the next one right after is in the M hall in the main building, on the second floor. I barely have enough time to get there, and I know other people in that class come from the Alex building as well. I always have to run to get there on time which is annoying.

My daughter hasn't actually attended this school but has recently been placed here for 60 days for possessing a Delta 8 cartridge, which they assumed was THC. I am currently fighting it but to the teacher that wrote that these are "bottom of the barrel" kids that attend this school........perhaps that's where the employ the "bottom of the barrel" teachers!! But if this is what the teachers say about the kids online, I could only take a guess on how the kids are actually treated. Maybe this school is full of "bottom of the barrel" kids. However, my kid is not!! My child is a senior in high school and has never ever been in trouble. I have never received a negative phone call or email from any of her teachers. No detention and no trips to the principal's office until now and really, she was caught up at the wrong time and place as girls were smoking in the bathroom. My child was not but was searched and she had the vape pen in her bag that she had forgotten about. But again, to the teacher that posted that comment, thank you!! I intend to use this as one piece of evidence that my child does not belong in DAEP but it's sad to think about you educating our kids.

This was the worst experience I’ve ever encountered with a school I have to take my child to everyday. No parent wants to feel like it’s a waste of time. My son is deaf in one ear and wasn’t getting the proper care, attention or education that he NEEDED being at Marshall. Not to mention, secretary staff ARE RUDE for no reason.We would ask for homework to be sent home, update us on how he’s doing in class, let us know exactly what he needs to work on and most of the time neither one of his teachers would respond to messages…literally would only send me a message if he got in trouble and they wanted me to talk to him. IEP, or ARD is what they call it here, teachers were fantastic. They updated me…kept me in the loop and made sure my son was getting what he could the time he was there.I had a rebuttal for one thing the main teachers said about my child that I knew wasn’t true during an IEP meeting and everything was downhill from there.I will never recommend this school to anyone especially if they need extra help.
