About this House

Welcome Home! Enjoy carefree Florida living in this beautifully appointed 2-bedroom, 2-bath villa, tastefully decorated in an elegant French Provincial style. This home was originally one of Standard Pacific Homes' Biscayne sales models in the Garden Homes at Pennington Place and has been professionally decorated with numerous upgrades. Built in 2006 and gently used by a single owner for only a few months each year since 2008, it shows pride of ownership throughout. Located in a pet-friendly, gated community, residents enjoy access to a clubhouse and heated/chilled pool and spa, all included in the $290/month HOA fee. The HOA also covers exterior villa painting, basic cable TV, reclaimed water for irrigation, full irrigation maintenance, and lawn and shrub care. No CDD fees and no flood insurance required. This villa sits on a premier lot featuring a screened, covered, and tiled lanai overlooking a serene pond and preserve - the perfect spot to relax and enjoy nature. Major updates include a new roof (2023), hurricane-impact glass on all windows, HVAC replacement (2020), and water heater (2023). The 1 -car garage provides space for a vehicle and golf cart and features a recently replaced garage door opener. Enter through the inviting side porch into a bright open floor plan. The kitchen offers a breakfast bar, 36 wood cabinets with crown molding, granite countertops, drop-in sink, updated garbage disposal, smooth-top range, vent-free microwave, and stainless-steel refrigerator and dishwasher. The dining area overlooks the impressive great room with high ceilings and a custom cabinet with a hidden TV - perfect for entertaining. The villa is offered turnkey with a few exclusions. The spacious primary suite features a tray ceiling, bay window with custom window treatments, and tranquil pond views. The ensuite bath includes dual sinks with Corian countertops, a linen closet, and a walk-in closet. This professionally designed and landscaped community includes 134 single-family homes and 60 villas, offering a truly low-maintenance lifestyle ideal for full-time or seasonal living. • James P.
"The EastGate neighborhood is a hidden gem. There are a number of nice, older homes on good-sized lots, with many being upgraded with every new owner or already renovated. There are also many future opportunities as you look around. It's a perfect location between historic downtown Venice on the Island, and east to I-75 and the new areas being built out there. There's a Publix a block over and Venice Avenue isn't as busy as Route 41. Even with all the growth and new development, this part of Venice remains low-key and very pleasant. The homes here are a good value for the money and worth either buying and renovating, or buying an upgraded one. One of the best areas in the city that is not on the island, and my family has been here since the early 90s."
  • Trulia User
"So many opportunities for outdoor activities: walking, biking, boating, beach, swimming, surfing, shelling, shopping, dining, fishing, golfing, and so much more."
  • Beth S.

  • Katherineupton97
"Dogs are generally friendly and dog parks and beaches are free and available to the public. Brohard Beach is especially good "
  • Shakira C.
"It is a beautiful and quiet community by the beach. Restaurants are nice and there are different dining options. Sunsets on the beach are incredible beautiful. There is a fishing pier that is really nice."
  • Maddiecasella
"I have lived in Venice for 4 years. I have lived in 4 States and plan on making Venice my forever home. It is safe. There is many things to do. The school system is well run. I live my community. It just feels like home."
  • Melissa M.
"Friendly neighbors and safe neighborhood. Well worth living within a HOA, very well kept landscape. Close to amazing beaches! "
  • Amy R.
"It’s ok I just think Gran Paradiso is a poor community that thinks too highly of themselves.. they’re not to keen on having renters in their properties. "
  • Jpvets
"Not close to any public transportation. Far away from stores and grocery shopping where I live. Traffic during season is bad and takes twice as long to get anywhere than during the summer"
  • Dlremo12
"I have no commute as I am retired. Before I commuted between 5 minutes to one and a half hours depending on when I worked on the island, Sarasota and StPete/Tampa. This is a great place to live with good roads to other communities. "
  • Juliette G.

  • Idy F.
"There is a dog beach/park where people and pets mingle. I've never seen anyone walking a dog outside of that area without a leash. Pets and pet owners appear to be happy.. as are the non pet owners who get to pet the dogs and talk to their owners. "
  • Ccvanriper
"Music in the park every Friday night! Community events to attend most weekends, loved the bike Glow Ride!"
