2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI am a 1987 graduate. My experience at Osbourn was likely very different than that of students who attend today. I was not the best student by most measures, but that was of my own volition. Even with my self-imposed truancy and lack of personal responsibility, I was afforded a very quality education by this school and the Manassas City Schools in general. In essence, I was well-educated by Osbourn. It is troublesome to me when I look at the abysmal metrics associated with the school today. I'm not here to assign blame to any particular entity(ies) within the system. I don't reside in the area now and I have no grasp of the situation at hand. But I have to implore the powers that be in Manassas and Virginia at large - DO something about this - please! This should be embarrassing and unacceptable to the educators in residence there. Osbourn is better than this. You owe better to the youth of the community and the educators who undoubtedly work hard to make a difference in the minds of young people.Other Review3y ago36 Reviews - Grace E. Metz Middle School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs a parent, I’m very disappointed with how Metz Middle School handled a situation involving my child. Instead of his concerns being taken seriously, he felt ignored and dismissed when he brought it up to the counselor.Another concern is the lack of transparency around disciplinary decisions. When my child received a punishment, the explanation from administration was vague and didn’t clearly explain the reasoning behind it. For students, not understanding why something happened can feel unfair and confusing, and it doesn’t help them learn from the situation.I’ve also noticed that some teachers seem to believe that giving excessive amounts of work automatically leads to growth and results. While high expectations are important, overwhelming students does not always help them succeed and can add unnecessary stress.Middle school is a critical time for students’ development, and it’s important that students feel heard, respected, and supported. Based on our experience, Metz Middle School has significant room to improve in how it listens to students and balances academic expectations with student well-being.Parent Review2mo ago24 Reviews - Mayfield Intermediate School

"Living in this neighborhood for over 25 years. Always feel safe, it’s clean and majority of people take pride in their yard and home. Close to Old Town activities and shopping. Just have patience with traffic. "

"Honestly not a bad commute at all, coming from a girl born and raised in WV. What’s 30 minutes to me, might be a little different for someone else. It doesn’t bother me, it’s the perfect balance of city / suburbia / charm for me. I’m familiar with the area as well, so I will always love Manassas, Fairfax, Centreville, Gainesville, all of the above. "

"It’s a good neighbourhood , I moved here from india. My job is in Manassas only. I feel this neighbourhood is good and safe. For me surprisingly the rent is super high but I could find any houses with less rent. Grocery stores and all very near by, for me Costco , Walmart is just 5 mins drive ( less than 3 miles ) We’ve a lot of shops near by so Even if you don’t have a car , you can still manage to get some groceries to survive but have to walk around 1-1.5 miles I feel it’s save don’t know why but I got the gut feeling "

"There are many different paths to take your dog on a walk. In the neighborhood there are bags provided to pick up after your dog along with a small receptacle for their waste. From what I’ve experienced, there are many others walking their dogs & all of them have been really friendly. "
