Absolutely an amazing school! They do the best that they can for everyone. Mr. Fletcher is amazing with the children, he knows them by name, and things they like. Every single person on the staff has a genuine interest in the children, parents and the well being and safety of the school. I sent my child here out of district based on high praises I had heard from family and friends. My family has not been disappointed. I feel secure knowing that there are many caring eyes on my child during the day. They take child safety and well being into high consideration. This is especially true during the pandemic. I have yet to witness a child go without a meal to go, even if it is not needed. Every teacher my child has had, has helped progress in learning areas that I thought were too difficult to master. They have a wonderful program to help children exemplify being a wildcat, and doing things the wildcats way! They are very serious about being kind to one another, and the staff sets the example! Children appear friendly towards each other, and happy to have friends along the way. The school is very open and honest with communication to parents, and expectations are clearly set. Fantastic school!

Very little emphasis on college readiness. This includes SAT prep, AP Tests, and college applications. Would love to see more emphasis on areas that truly prepare you for a 4-year college education.

My sister is a student at this school. She is in 8th grade now, and since 6th she’s been consistently outcasted & bullied. The situations have been brought up to administration every time something arises, but each time without fail, the situation gets swept under the rug. We get a “well there’s nothing really we can do, stay out of drama”. The students at this school (not all, only the ones in our experience) are hateful, selfish, and all around just stuck up brats. No child should fear going to school in the mornings. My last point—if you don’t have a political standing in Marion, you get treated like dirt. There is obvious and very blatant favoritism toward kids who have a name, or for that matter have any association with the sports teams. Anymore, marion school district only cares about sports.
