Mason County Eastern Elementary School demonstrates a serious failure in addressing bullying and ensuring student safety. Although the school claims to have policies in place and employs a school resource officer, bullying is consistently not addressed at all in practice.When parents report bullying incidents, their concerns are frequently dismissed, minimized, or ignored. Families are often gaslighted and made to feel as though the problem is being exaggerated or already handled, when in reality no action is taken. Communication attempts are avoided, and follow-up is rare or nonexistent. Even when parents manage to speak directly with the principal and are assured the situation will be handled, the bullying continues without intervention.Reports of students making threats toward others are especially alarming, yet these incidents are not addressed in any meaningful way. There are no visible consequences, corrective actions, or protective measures put in place. As a result, students are left vulnerable, and parents lose confidence in the school’s ability to keep children safe.This lack of response has created an environment where some children are afraid to attend school due to ongoing bullying. A school cannot function as a safe learning space when students feel threatened and unheard. By failing to take action, Mason County Eastern Elementary School neglects its responsibility to protect students and prevent harm.In conclusion, the school’s complete lack of effective response to bullying highlights a critical need for accountability, transparent communication, and immediate change to ensure student safety and well-being.

You are only as good as your last name at Mason County Eastern. School as a whole is rife with favoritism depending on "who's who" within the community. My family moved into the area when I was a high schooler, and it was incredibly hard to find friends throughout my 4 years there. The better teachers were apathetic, the worse ones were derisive, and there was no advancement track for good teachers, just ones who were well established in the tiny community.I would move my entire family from the neighborhood before I would send any child I cared about here.
