As a former student I went to look up CF's # to track down my high school transcripts and saw this in the search engine. I was appalled because although I may have been bullied slightly, I thought that CF did a tremendous job. I graduated over 6 years ago though, everything changes. Maybe they never truly got back on path after the student got shot. I honestly am not really sure what happened. I know that it was ranked much higher when I attended.

My child has autism and supposed to be in special education classes but in the beginning of the year, they put her in a regular kindergarten classroom instead just to "see how she does". Unfortunately, there have been a few adjustment and discipline issues that could have been avoided if she were in the place she was meant to be. The school even met with their other parent (principal, guidance counselor etc) and suggested she be medicated. Her normal therapists have not diagnosed her with ADHD but this school wants her to be medicated because they cannot teach her like everyone else. I'm sorry but this could have been all avoided if she were put where she is meant to be (in a EC classroom with teachers that are trained to handle kids w/ autism, Downs syndrome etc). In addition to this, she will also probably repeat this grade because the viruses have been out of control and everyone is passing things back and forth. They say they don't allow sock kids at school, yet my daughter has gotten horribly sick consistently. Their sick policy is a joke. So it's either come to school sick (which there seems to be germy kids slipping through the cracks) or miss so much school and have a meeting with the school threatening with CPS because she has barely been in attendance. This place is a circus. Do not send your kids here if they're neurodivergent or they have an average or below average immune system. I honestly want to homeschool her next year.

My daughter goes to this school and she is a constant victim of bullying. Everyday she goes she is insulted cuz of her looks and everything. She said she spoke to the teachers and principal and they have done nothing!!! This needs to change now!! My child is there to learn, not be ridiculed by other children because they are miserable at home. Something needs to change or I will go to the board of education!!!

Teachers & staff during the duration of the years their have been just wonderful thk full for everything.
