"this neighborhood use to be safe, but the crime is growing increasingly and fast. I have lived in Marina Del Rey for 14 years. it is not a kid friendly community crime is growing and the attacks on women and children is higher than I've ever seen. it's going to take a lot to make a change in Marina Del Rey. "
  • Shawn Winnett

  • Keena G.
"Marina Del Rey is a great community for families due to access to the beach, walking and parks. However, it is not a neighborhood with a ton of kids and I don’t see children playing outside. "
  • Shonalisen
"Many schools, children’s parks, bike path, safe neighbourhood streets etc. Some traffic so it is important to be careful while crossing streets."
  • Soniakazarova
"The neighborhood has more crime due to the housing crisis and homelessness in the nearby city of Venice. It is beautiful and our neighbors are kind. Would be great if there were more security. "
  • Khbarkley
"That there are a lot of areas to walk dogs. Especially on the Grand Canal. There are also a lot of dogs here. "
  • Khbarkley
"Plenty of small parks, and you have the Canal Trail which connects to the Marina and to the Beach. Dog owners have plenty of options. "

  • Chris S.
"Super expensive for what you get and Marina is full of garbage, just look over the railing where you can't see from the street"
  • Jonny Jetsons
"Get the kids home from the beach by sunset. There tends to be a larger nighttime population of homeless and transients, in turn a larger number petty crimes being reported by local authorities. just saying, if the kids wanna go out, make sure they are escorted by an older person. "
  • Venus G.
"My neighborhood is close enough to the beach and it’s far enough from the noise that makes this the perfect area to relax after a long day. "
  • Linkn
"Just a walk to about anything. Restaurants, beach, shops. Weekends hard to find parking. Lots of dog walkers, some homeless issues in the Alley’s. "

  • Alec.nicolas
"Very dog friendly area that is extremely puppy tolerable. I would be weary of taking pups too close to the boardwalk area as local vets say the parvo rate is extremely high "
  • Sarahpustilnik
"Great place and easy to get around. Close to everything which is awesome! Buildings are new which I love"
  • Sylvia z
"The neighborhood is beautiful though crime has risen over the last few years due to gentrification process. More security and gates are needed in mariners village. The feeling is great in daylight hours. "
