On 8/20/2024 my son's bus #44 was in an accident on Lazy H, and it took over an hour for him to be dropped off. Although the scratch on his face from a bolt on the bus was superficial, the lack of communication during this incident is deeply concerning. There needs to be a system in place to inform parents and ensure the safety of our children in situations like this. It's unacceptable for parents to be left in the dark when their children are involved in an accident.

I have 3 children who have attended this school since 2005. The school is very small and class options and activities are limited. Most of the teachers are professional and engage student learning. However, there are staff members who do not respect people as developing individuals. In other words, everyone is expected to fit into the same box. Although the school is clean and "beautiful, " it is not middle school friendly. Students do not have a courtyard or a break from their teachers. They are escorted to lunch with teachers, who rush them through lunch for a quick break in the school parking lot, by teachers who appear to need breaks too. Studies have shown that middle school is challenging and it is important for them to learn survival skills by feeling responsible or having responsibilities. Hopefully, the school will spend more money on additional staff and a new courtyard. Additional staff will increase class options for students, and allow teachers to rotate lunch duty, and provide opportunities for more clubs and activities. The courtyard is self explanatory. No one should have to spend their lunch in a parking lot .
