Whitewater Falls, a popular tourist attraction stands at 411 ft, making it one of the highest waterfalls east of the Rockies. DOT improvements in route NC 107 from just north of SR 1002 to NC 281 in Jackson County are likely to increase traffic in the area.

Given their apparent affiliation with the institution, I would urge BREC to exercise greater diligence in ensuring that employees represent the school system in a manner that reflects professionalism and integrity—both on and off campus. Behavior such as yelling, disruptive conduct, and a general lack of composure in public settings does not reflect well on the school or its values.
