"There has recently been a lot of dumb drivers like to speed in the neighborhoods so be alert and watch for your children. "
  • Namaka Baptista
"Umm there is definitely a lot of opportunity in the neighborhood. It is also a up and rising community as well which allows there to be more experiences and adventures to connect with others around you which is great. "
  • Robert Rose
"Very central to food, shopping, etc. A lot of traffic on main roads so not easy to let kids play unattended"
  • Shiriloveproduction
"There are a lot of kids that your kids would not have to worry about finding friends and most parents are super friendly and playful with other kids. Is like having a kid parent."
  • Missfit619
"Cool to visit, not to live. We stayed in Ko’Olina. It’s beautiful, but if you have young kids, try another area of town with more family friendly living "
  • Trulia User
"We live on a steep incline hill and I use my car to commute everywhere. Everything is close by so commute times are short. "
  • Trulia User
"I take my dog to the beach every weekend no hassle at empty beaches. Private dog parks on condo properties but no town dog park."
  • Stevie W.
"Everything is close. The beach is less than a mile away. The neighborhood is quiet and very family oriented. A car is good to have but I see a lot of people on bicycles. There is little crime and because of the close knit community everybody looks out for each other."
  • Darius L.
"There are a lot of other dogs in the neighborhood and they can get pretty wild. Sometimes dogs are not tied down and they can get out of the fence"
  • Georgina P.
"One neighbor always host Halloween events m. It’s amazing! Some neighbors aren’t so friendly so when we have that one that is super welcoming it always means the world to us! "
  • CAROL S.
"Lived in this neighborhood for about 3 years now. Very modern and safe! Love everything about it. Lots of stores restaurants cafes etc. The mall is close by. Very safe neighborhood "
  • Stowerscaroline

  • Irinavladi1012
"It feels safe and it’s really clean. I see many families with kids. I don’t see smokers and the nearby elementary school is new and seems nice to me so far. "
  • Klaguilera
"Many ppl don’t pick up their dogs poop even with available bags. There is a dog park at end of neighborhood "
  • Jesserubin

  • Shantiwoodrow
"It is a very nice neighborhood with nice people and there is no noise at night unless it is New Year’s Eve "
  • Dritysoap

"safe environment , quiet , peaceful . should have more community gatherings like a movie in the park or something ."
  • Stephen M.
"They is plenty of sidewalks, green areas, parks, etc for many dog owners to us in Kapolei. There is two big chain pet stores nearby, along with veterinary clinics to care for your pet needs. Overall a nice play to have a dog or any pet."
  • Microhenchman
"kapolei is cute and nice. the only complaint I have is there is a lot of traffic in the evening but it's not a deal breaker. I really look forward to starting my family here."
  • Microhenchman
"it's new and very cheeky I love kapolei. it's honestly one of my favorite places to live in Hawaii "
  • Islndgrl19
"It’s safe to walk in the neighborhoods very peaceful. People are friendly. Many stores and places to eat from Kamakana AliI to Kapolei Commons to Ewa Beach. There are many stops to catch the buses for transportation. You see many people who walk their dogs and some people are considerate to pick up their poop others are ignorant and don’t care."
  • Darius
"I was born and raised here and I can definitely say that family is big in kapolei. It’s important for parents to know that their kids will grow up in a safe environment. "
  • A.labrec
"I live here and have 2 dogs, it’s great. The sidewalks are well maintained however a dog park in Kapolei would be amazing!"
  • Sirac808
"Kapolei has two main areas for a great shopping experience. There are many restaurants located all over kapolei and a few movie theaters. Couple community fairs/carnivals a year. Beaches are close by and easily accessible year round. People on this side of the island are generally more friendlier since we are further away from the Honolulu which gives a more relaxed feeling compared to living in the city. "
  • Iwalani.teixeira
"Exceptionally easy considering there are 4 separate ways to get to the free way and with Farrington hwy and Kapolei pkwy the traffic is split pretty evenly "
  • Islndgrl19
"Its safe to have kids out play and they should check on them often. Or have a buddy system if leary"
  • Kkftworth
"Most people have well behaved dogs and keep them on leashes. several dog parks in the area. "
  • Kassy C.
"I love it! It has a beautiful view from Makakilo and it’s close to the beaches, stores and the mall."
  • Trulia User
"High school carnival and open farmers markets. Close by mall and grocery shopping, you don’t have to drive far for medical help as well. "
  • James L.
"Commute is easily accessible to H1. However, the morning commute becomes congested during the morning, but opens up in the afternoon on the west side of the H1 H2 merge."
  • Irish O. C. B.
"Dog owners would like maybe a dog park to bring their dogs to. Apparently Kapolei has a lot of hard find breed dogs and I feel that this can open up new friends or new knowledge about them."
  • Mark P.
"Don’t have events. Never do nothing. The people in my neighborhood are so mind and all time is a lot complain "
