7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI Went to School For 17 Years. 13 Because my mother made me to 5th grade twice, and I hypothetically when to college for 4 years. I was supposed to go to rock bridge high but, this school was closer to me. I will say that this is the best school I ever went to. The school in general was cool. Purple is not my choice of color but I delt with it. The teachers were cool; they helped me get through all 4 of my years. Some of them I still keep in touch with. My guidance counselor was the best. He saw something in me that nobody else wanted to admit... The students were decent, some of them had potential... They really only bad thing that happened is that a student stole my $300 headphones one night in junior year, sadly the police never caught him.Other Review8mo ago5 Reviews - Jefferson Jr. High School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAverage school. Ok Students. Ok Teachers. That's why I gave this rating a 3 out of 5, meaning average. Well, for most of it, it's an average day at the middle school. Too many bad kids at this school. They are some good students at this school, but the bad students population inside Jefferson middle school is > the good kids population at Jefferson middle school. The Bad kids outshadow the good kids inside Jefferson MIddle School. Well that is normal for a middle school to have a lot of bad kids. Too many kids who don't care about the real meaning of school, which exactly happens inside every average middle school you hear of across the U.S.A. This is the true meaning of school: You come to school to work, and then you study for your test, and get good grades, and listen to your wise teachers in class. That's what school is made for! Not for messing around with other students or screaming inside the hallway! This is the reason why many students hate school.Student Review8y ago11 Reviews - Robert E. Lee Elementary School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy experience with this school has not been a warm or welcoming one. 1) During drop off and pick up they have staff but they are not helpful much. They want the kids to move fast but are not doing anything to spend up the process. 2) They are not good at keeping parents informed. If my child could change schools I would not hesitate.Parent Review4y ago10 Reviews - Check out schools near 912 E Walnut St.

"My neighbors are super friendly and we all look out for each other. Pot licks and garage sales are the best"

"We seldom have community events. It would be neat if we did. However at this time we are getting too old to maintain our house."

"Safety for the whole family is the most important aspect of place to live in. Amenities like pool, gym, parks, and office are also important in a community for work-life balance. "

"No community events in this area. Columbia in general is not a safe place to live and does not promote a healthy lifestyle. Very few bike lanes, and what they do have is not well maintained. Do not feel safe running and walking alone."

"Columbia is a small city, more of a large town. It is home to 3 universities and 4 major hospitals. These resources bring an influx of college students, young professionals, highly educated middle aged families with kids, and diverse people from around the world. There are many well paying jobs for every level of education and experience and housing is affordable when compared with cities of this size. There are many opportunities for volunteers and community involvement. "

"There’s a dog park. But it would be nice if there were fenced back yards. Sometimes people in the neighborhood just let their dogs wonder off leash and that’s inconvenient and unsafe at times"

"Everyone I come in contact with always waves and usually makes eye contact. While I don’t know all of their names, I do know all of their dog”s names. The landscaping is always kept up and all of us who live by the lake all seem to be “outdoor people”. During the summer., it’s common to see the streets almost crowded with walkers and joggers—even a few bikers. (Along with all the dogs, of course)"
