You can only put up so much smoke and mirrors through friendly administration to cover up the poorly run system that we have witnessed at this school. There are some wonderful teachers for the younger grades and you don’t realize the ineffective standards that are put in place until you realize how many children are performing below average in the older grades. I do not believe these children will be ready for middle school. Staff and faculty are helpful when it is convenient for them. When it is not, they smile and nod while providing no assistance or support. IEP and 504 plans are almost laughable and staff for the programs have no accountability to see the children on a regular basis, so they don’t. If your child is already gifted, great. If not, he or she will likely struggle.
