1/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have a child with some disabilities who had 3 breakdowns from the overcrowded classrooms and not one time was I informed by the staff. Her therapist had to tell me. She thought she could handle it on her own. She was bullied and slapped. Her report card says she missed 10 days but she's got "perfect attendance!" How is this? I'll tell you how, the busses come when they get ready. And the teacher marks them absent.. I had to go back and forth with the IEP coordinator to add her diagnosis which she refused to add and then they refused to get her tested. Her primary care dr id getting it done!! THEY DON'T CARE!!!! THEY'VE JUST BEEN SHOVELING HER ON TO THE NEXT GRADE WITH NO PROGRESS!!!! I HAVEN'T HEARD FROM THEM WERE DONE. BYE BYE GRIER. And if you're wondering yes she is and yes we are!Parent Review9mo ago9 Reviews - Check out schools near 910 W Mauney Ave.

""Gastonia's community events, like the summer concerts at the Rotary Centennial Pavilion and the local Farmers Market, are what make this neighborhood special. They provide a great way for neighbors to connect and support local businesses while enjoying the city's culture "

"No open space for pets to run or to do their business would love a dog park near by hopefully that changes "

"Not many sidewalks in the area I live in. I hope that changes in the future. Otherwise, there are parks nearby to accommodate dogs. I suggest visiting those. I like that they’re a lot of dog owners in my neighborhood and walking trails although the trails in my area don’t get tended to as much as the local parks and can feel unsafe for dogs and their owners. "Dogs are walked all through the neighborhood. There is even a walking trail you can walk them down. Many of the homes have fenced in yards also, so that their dogs can run in the yard. "

"Gastonia, for the most part is a safe place to live. Compare the crime stats to Charlotte, and you will see. There are old parts of town that will soon make a comeback with the right city leadership. "
