"No Commute involved, I’m retired. No public transportation other than school buses. There may be senior citizen transportation upon request possibly. "
  • Trulia User
"A normal busy small town where everyone is just trying to make a living and raise their babies not much here just what towns have "
  • Maureen1757
"Homes have large private yards, with many dog owners, who walk their dogs or ride them in the family golf cart. There is no dog park."
  • Donniesirmans
"Grove point and all the get together with the pool activities during the summer time. The neighborhood watch. "
  • Araiza8
"Is quiet and nice to live here. We been here for 4 years and love it. Is probably 15 mins from the mall and Target "
  • Mandingopappy
"Lots of kids are bad influences not all but most . Try to get your kids into sports it’ll keep their head on straight "
  • Logan Souliere
"Halloween is huge here. Over 100 kids and lots of candy. Words words words words words words 100 characters"
  • Trulia User
"We are very close to everything; less than a 10 min drive. No real safe way to walk any place though. "
  • Trulia User
"Community meetings involving shared cultures. There is a happiness in unity within the community of Brook Haven. "
  • Twoodsjr
"The main road out of the neighborhood is busy at times but we are close to restaurants, shops, grocery stores, and not far from the mall and interstate. "
  • Sarah.kristine.brown
"Lots of dog walkers using leashes and very dog friendly neighborhood................................."
  • Shalonda
"Very convenient not much traffic other than at 5pm when everyone is getting off from work and traveling home. No major construction and a minimal amount of accidents."
  • Karaelizabethrn
"We love our neighbors and the community. It’s a perfect southern town. There are great local restaurants and lots of fun places to travel/getaway in the area "
  • Ruthanna W.
"maker's markets, lots of small local businesses, first Friday, Georgia Beer company events, local crafting events and opportunities, great places to eat"
  • Sabrina C.
"There are no events in our neighborhood except for trick or treating. That is a huge deal here. ......"
  • Vaslim1946
"Don’t know haven’t been here long e enough A lot of military and some racist. But All in all most are friendly "
  • Trulia User
"It is not a very good neighborhood for walking around in. If someone isn’t speeding down the street, then someone is blaring music scaring dogs because the ground is shaking beneath them and the music hurts their ears. Oh, and the occasional gun shot tends to scare pups too. "
  • Marysfriendsonly
"Very little traffic!! Roads are wide enough and well maintained. Cars, Uber, taxis are the main way to go. No public bus unless you go to VSU here. The only time there is a traffic jam is Friday nights during football games or if a train is blocking the road"
  • Cierra N.
"fine during the day . but at night high traffic area with walkers and drivers. no one stops at the 3 way stop sign in front of my house.. not best area if you have children."
  • Stephanie B.
"No where for them to go. I have to keep my pets in the house unless I travel with them across town. "
  • Robert S.
"Some people don’t clean up after there pets. Also, a lot of people don’t have their dogs on leashes. "
  • Janice K.
"The neighborhood is nice and the neighbors are so kind. I don't entirely trust myself to walk alone in the dark, but during the day is no worry."
  • Paulette F.
"It is very safe for families with children. The area is well maintained and the subdivisions are very quiet. "
  • Debbie S.
"Not good for walking dogs. Rural area. Speed limit on my road is 45mph. Most homeowners do not walk their dogs due to high traffic. "
  • Jimeriajashai
"Very quiet, nice neighbors! Clean, a lot of light when dark out! Mailbox was always jammed but overall a great place! Can’t hear neighbors through the walls unless it was a party/get together!"
  • Franceline P.
"Live here for a year so nice and quiet work is right down the street and packages can be left on the porch without a problem"
  • Scott K.
"Great community for kids to play with others. The house is at the end of a Cul-de-sac. Great schools near by."
  • Hdwumfuor1
"Valdosta it’s OK. It is a small town. A little racist. But I maintain and do what I have to do. It is a college town. They love football here. It’s OK."
  • Kareem S.
"Made a few friends but we don’t connect like that. Most of us are really busy and are into different hobbies but everyone is friendly."
  • Somyayfisher
"I don’t know I really don’t see or hear to many dogs in my neighborhood nor do I own a dog so I couldn’t say."
  • Jasmine S.
"Great place to live. Good for families because it is a small city, but has many new fun places for children to enjoy. Places are not far apart; everything is about 10-15 minutes away."
  • Courtney B.
"It’s not the best place to live. My car has been broken into once and my wife’s too. Traffic is terrible and the city looks dirty "
  • Trea65
"I’ve only lived here about a year, but everyone is friendly and helpful. It’s a great place to live! I plan to retire here and hope more of my family follows the two of us down here. It’s close to both the gulf and the ocean so we can enjoy them whenever we want to go spend the day at the beach. We’re able to see palm trees everywhere we look and love the winter weather much better than snow and frigid temperatures in the north. The housing costs are so nice compared to those in area’s we’ve lived before. "
  • Robert G.
"This is a rental area for college students. Not really a great area for a family with kids. Better for a single person or young married couple or older couple without kids."
  • Robert G.
"It is quiet and centrally located to downtown Valdosta, the University and the Mall. The houses are small but the yards are large so a nice feel."
  • Shquera C.
"That it is safe. We can leave anything out the door and be able to still see it there the next day. We are able to trust our neighbors they are loving and caring. We all get alone we don’t have any problems or loud music."
  • Dsamedy
"We need to have a dog park. This could be done near one of our lakes in the subdivision. The neighborhood is quiet and serene. We all try respect each other property by not allowing our dogs to poop on the lawns. It would also be good to strategically place poop bags within the dog park, helping to make it easier to allow our pouch to spend more time frolicking with us."
  • GeorgeC
"rental area not good for permanent stay loud music lots of theft and break-ins. wouldn't recommend staying here "
  • Tealsoundrox
"I am here. Not to mention that there is a cop, and a school in my neighborhood. There are also a ton of churches. "
  • Kim Rasmussen
"I have leaved in this community for 4 years and love our friendly neighborhood. Kids can ride their bikes on the quite streets. People run and walk their dogs. It is one of the few gated communities with golf, tennis, pools and parks."
