My child has been at NVLA for three years and loves it. They have some truly excellent teachers and a very effective bilingual curriculum. The PTA is active and does a great job raising funds each year for the garden program, field trips, and after-school enrichment offerings. I don't have a special needs child, so cannot speak to what that experience might be like though I know the school has some Instructional Aids to support children needing extra help. My only real concern is that, due to the popularity of the bilingual program, the school infrastructure seems a little strained for the number of students enrolled there (i.e., the auditorium and cafeteria can't actually seat all the kids simultaneously and parking is a bit of a mess). They make it work, but I wish NVUSD would convert another existing school to bilingual to ease some of the pressure on NVLA/Pueblo Vista and ensure that all families who want an immersion experience for their child can get one.
