4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThere are lots of positive changes going on at the school. They just put in chilled water fountains. There are many clubs such as dance, drama, archery etc. to join and help keep you out of trouble. The school staff are caring and take the time to help you when you don't understand what you are learning.Other Review8y ago9 Reviews - James Campbell High School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy children lasted one week here before my husband and I ripped them out. The office staff seems like they absolutely hate their jobs and parents. The kids there don’t care for children that are white and my boys were targeted in the bathroom based on that alone. Physically target by kids they had never seen or spoken to before. We bought a home in Ewa and love our home and neighbors but the schools are awful. Thankfully we can do private. James Campbells solution to bullying of children is during breaks and lunches, for them to join the other white children outside a teachers classroom every day and stick together in hopes that they wouldn’t be bullied or hurt. They couldn’t even use the bathroom alone without being harassed. There’s a reason they have a uniform dress code there. The kids are unruly and the parents are even worse. We now commute our children to a safer school on the other side of the island where uniforms aren’t required and they are safe and haven’t had one incident since James Campbell. The place is an absolute disgrace to education.Parent Review4y ago8 Reviews - Anuenue School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son attended this school and it truly was the worst experience we have ever had with an Elementary School! Not only was he bullied and the staff did nothing about it, he was also punched, hit, pushed around, belittled, and name called...the school did nothing! They would neglect to notify me of anything until after my child came home from school, so around 4:30pm in the evening. They would give me some nonsense reason as to what happened, then they facilitated an apology and dismiss the kids back to class with no follow through on their actions. I also felt his academics were broadly overlooked and neglected until I took it to review with the administration and only then did something finally happen. There is a lack of extracurricular activities such as P.E., music or an art class. Also, the kids are not allowed to run around the playground at recess! I have never been more disappointed with a school than this one.Parent Review10mo ago8 Reviews - Ke Kula O Ehunuikaimalino

"Quiet neighborhood, friendly neighbors, everyone watches out for each other and makes sure the community is safe from any intruders or anyone that they normally don’t see on a daily basis. Great place to raise a family, for single couples, even retired individuals. "

"In the mornings if I have an early shift the traffic is horrible coming out of Ewa Beach. If I work the afternoon/night shift it isn’t bad at all. If planning on working in town, leave about 1.5 hours earlier to get there on time because traffic is unpredictable."

"A selective commute is recommended. If you leave home after 7:45 am it’s about 35-40 minutes to Honolulu. If you leave like everyone else between 5-7:30 am your commute time can be up to an hour on a bad day. "
