Theyll send your kid to the learning center (detention) for the dumbest reasons where they learn nothing for the entire day. Teachers have stated that they're just there to get a check. This school will forever be a D School. They need to be more focused on TEACHING the kids.

At Sleepy Hill Middle School, I feel like respect goes both ways. When students respect the school, the teachers, and the rules, they usually get that same respect back. A lot of your experience here really depends on your attitude and effort. If you try, stay responsible, and have a positive mindset, you can grow a lot here. It’s not just about being perfect, it’s about learning from your actions and putting in effort to do better. This school has changed at a great amount by enforcing new rules to help students guide their way through the school year. When you follow the rules, show respect, and stay on top of your work, it doesn’t go unnoticed. The school recognizes students who make good choices and stay responsible, whether that’s through small rewards, activities, or other positive recognition. It kind of motivates you to keep doing the right thing because your effort actually gets acknowledged. Overall, Sleepy Hill Middle School is a good school in my opinion. It really depends on your attitude and how you choose to carry yourself.

My kiddos have gone to three different schools due to moving and this school by far is the worst. No communication with parents at all, no things to attend for the kids. They give you info about stuff the day before or even not at all and expect your child to come home and tell you everything. No one reached out to have a conference with me at conference time and we definitely needed one. Just lots of things that could be improved, overallJust not a fan we will be switching in the upcoming year.
