The administration and teachers are very caring and highly interested in the academic needs of their students. Teachers seek to build appropriate relationships with students and have a vested interest in their success.

Exciting things are happening at this school. Beautiful facility, great teachers. Great to see the high schools kids as part of the community.

There are so many opportunities in Independence. Eisenhower is K through 2nd grade. They excel at drop off/pick up. They keep students engaged through various activities and challenges during the month. They do a monthly assembly that anyone can attend. They encourage parents to participate in holiday events, birthdays, and special things like Monday mornings reading one month or game day toward the end of the school year. They have really grasped the modern era of education and communication. I love that my daughter's teacher has a Facebook group for their class, and I can get updates and photos. It also makes it easier to interact with other students; parent(s). They are very patient and kind at IKE. I would say the only lacking is a bit more diversity in the younger classes, but that isn't exactly something the school can fix.
