There was a very diverse group of students and there was never a lack of things to do. I went from a local private school for one year to Lakeshore and felt like I was a little behind everyone else. That being said, the teachers were great.

This school has some of my favorite teachers but also some of my least favorite (a sixth grade geography teacher, but he is retiring this year). I can agree one of the office ladies is rude. For example I had gone home sick two days in a row and she was like “you again” and rolled her eyes. The 7th grade teachers are all amazing teachers to me and I will never forget them. This school is pretty good and I had fun times that I won’t ever forget.

We have been extremely happy with our experience at Roosevelt. My son graduated from Roosevelt and is now successfully navigating Middle School. My daughter is a current student and is excelling. Through all of the highs and lows, we have had wonderful support from both the teachers and the staff. The current principle, Mrs. Kyncl, is doing a fantastic job -- the school was awarded a National Blue Ribbon in the Fall of 2023! I think this says it all! "The National Blue Ribbon Schools Program recognizes public and private elementary, middle, and high schools based on their overall academic excellence or their progress in closing achievement gaps among student subgroups...The coveted National Blue Ribbon School award affirms the hard work of students, educators, families, and communities in creating safe and welcoming schools where students master challenging and engaging content. The National Blue Ribbon School flag gracing an entry or flying overhead is a widely recognized symbol of exemplary teaching and learning."
