Nice school on the outside and there are some nice teacher’s but very few. When one covering for an Assistant tries to reach out for help. One has to deal with teacher’s and personnel covering up “sketchy” situations when one tries to relate a concern on a student. The personnel of this school finds something to blame on one. And let’s one eat whatever the school finds and doesn’t care on the wellbeing of one if the teacher and personnel covering their own “sketchy” situations causes the one who is an outsider to be “Separated.” The personnel of this school only cares about the school’s spirit and the fanciness of the school. As far as some of the teacher’s go, there are very few who give the time of day and actually care about their student’s. The Assistant’s, Sub Assistant’s, Recess Aid’s, Helper’s, Volunteer’s and as well as one’s to whom ever else that I might have missed on this list who work or cover at this school suffer because of Personnel and certain teacher’s trying to maintain an image. REGRET BIG TIME COVERING FOR THIS SCHOOL!!! All those who are about to take on a job here. Please be aware. Oh, and anyone who post’s review’s for this school is alway’s the first to review because either this website or the school doesn’t want others using this website to find out the truth.

My twins both graduated from Jefferson high school, they both earned honors and a high GPA. My kids passed their History and Calculus AP exams, and they both received academic scholarships to help them pay for college. My kids enrolled in four year universities CSLA, UCLA. They are both pursuing a bachelors degree. They also were part of extra curriculum activities from SRLA, and avid program. They received Letterman jackets from the school. They had a wonderful experience. I also graduated from Jefferson and am very proud. Best school in South Central

I taught here and the environment inside and outside of school made me feel as though I didn't know how to do my job. Who's to blame? Give teachers the option to transfer to a school that doesn't stress you out as much as Maya, for the same pay, and you'll see why there's a revolving door / high turnover rate. Especially since teacher income is based on student performance. Teachers at the school will be effective if their students were starting the education race from the same starting line as those schools in better areas. Trust me, I've flourished before and after working at that school. I don't blame the teachers at all since students are lawless there.
