I have two daughters enrolled in Central Elementary School, and I have been closely monitoring and evaluating the school, it's leadership, the teachers, safety, resolution of student-to-student turbulence, and the curriculum while listening closely to my children's feedback. My children are enthusiastic about attending school every day. They have developed strong relationships with their teachers and fellow students. Non-stop events spice up the school calendar, making education an engaging and fun process. Multiple sophisticated motivational techniques are being used to create a warm, receptive learning environment. Six of the teachers I have talked to are highly competent and seem to care about each student. As expected, sometimes children call each other bad names. This happened once in two years. The issue was faced head-on by the teacher the same day, with a call to the parents of all three children involved. This gentle but stern attitude correction allowed the children to further develop their social skill sets while issuing the appropriate apologies. The homework is reasonable and serves to engage parents to support their child's learning process. Congratulations to the principal and the teachers for creating a school that one parent rates with five stars. Keep up the good work, and thank you. Each evening at the dinner table, I see the evidence of how much they are learning.
