Not a good school to go and the principles suck and they don't give kids second chances booo hillwood....

When I went here my experiences were okay. The teachers were super nice, but their lesson plans just were not engaging. The did communicate with the parents good though. There was a lot of fights, but if you didn't get in the middle of those things, you were fine. There special education department was amazing and allowed students with mental and physical disabilities to interact with normal students and teachers. Overall, I would recommend this school.

This school doesn't make the students be held accountable for their bad behavior, students mistreat the teachers and substitute teachers very bad , those students don't have any respect to teachers or adults in general, they don't want to learn , they just wanna play games all the time and do nothing, students throw balls at the teacher and the AP's just take them to office and later on they go back to class like nothing happened, there's no support at all , please don't send your kids there, do not work there either . there are fights in the hallways and cafeterias too .

Unable or unwilling to accommodate children with disabilities. Refusal to follow 504 plans, argumentative teachers. Refuse to communicate. Withhold information and grades. Very poor performing and very low expectations of student body. High focus on limited English proficiency and dyslexia, while everything else is essentially ignored, glossed over. We were lied to for years about our child’s placement and told she didn’t qualify for an IEP, which was not only untrue, it was not legal. Principal is Teflon - refuses all accountability for theirs or others’ actions. Blames and finger-points to shift the focus of self. Our community deserves so much better. Our kids deserve so much better. It is shocking how long these behaviors have been allowed to continue, even when Dr. Westfall, HR, and legal counsel are aware.
