This school is solely comprised of special need students and people from Brewer who can't afford the tuition to go anywhere else. Sending schools like Orrington and Holbrook send only their special needs students to Brewer. Brewer is very welcoming for these students but not for anyone else. If you're not special needs, expect your classes, especially AP and Honors to be cut back to accommodate more sections of "conceptual" classes, which, in reality, are poor excuses for a high school education as a result of their elementary level. Having seen this level of education first-hand, it's no surprise that less than half of Brewer graduates are proficient in English and even less in math. To surmise: go to Brewer if you want a solid special needs education. For everyone else, go somewhere else.
