HellCreek is surrounded by the Charles M. Russell National Wildlife Refuge, the third largest refuge in the continental U.S., with 1,100,000 acres. Hunting on the Refuge is permitted for mule deer, white-tailed deer, pronghorn, bighorn sheep, elk, mountain lion, coyotes, waterfowl, & upland game birds. If you enjoy anything outdoors, this is the escape for you. HellCreek is known for its excellent fishing for walleye, northern pike, & smallmouth bass. The year-round Marina has you covered with gas, bait and a selection of groceries. Access to hiking public lands as well as water sports. After enjoying the amazing sunsets, the park has Bortle scale Class 1 skies which makes the park a great place for star gazing.
