An incredible place to work and be a student. Smaller classes, individualized attention, a burgeoning STEM phenomenon! MRHS is such a welcoming place! The teachers are highly invested in the students and the community. With 9 sending districts this is a model choice school! The student wear uniforms, the classes are clean and the covid regs have allowed for amazing improvements. Add to that a brand new football field and lights, Friday nigh football is coming! The teachers are innovative, many are young and most have advanced degrees. Students travel internationally, there are honors classes and APs for nearly everything. The students pass the NJ State Seal of Biliteracy test in all 3 languages (Spanish, French & Arabic). Manchester is NOT just a school its a family and a community. If you want to thrive here there will be someone(s) who step and and facilitate your journey so that you as a student can reach and defy your goals!

In my experience, this school has had its ups and downs. The issue is that they have not put effort into solving greater issues, such as bullying, IDEA ( Individuals with Disabilities Education Act), and a lack of care for students with mental illnesses (depression, anxiety disorders, addictive behaviors). Teachers will make you feel pressured and behind, even if you are not meeting the requirements to graduate, despite not going the extra mile to guide their students. It is more than just having a successful student; it is about building them into good people who will make changes in the world. Coming from an alumni class of 2024, I am greatly disappointed in the school's staff, current and past principals. Minus the lunch ladies, they're the sweetest. Do better, Prospect Park Elementary.
