"I live I. Millington because I love the country feel and the close knit of the community. It is a great home town feel"

"**this is a rural area, so the grocery store(s) is within 5 miles. There is a discount grocery store also that has a close to expire date so the deals are un-real. I usually go and stock up on great foods super cheap and freeze them to save big bucks. so the shopping for food cant be beat. store is called Simons variety store on birchrun rd. The schools are good/average, safety is low /no crime, safe area as people are independant and watch each other, plus, crime just isnt heard of out here in the country, away from big city like flint. people have pets, but dont let them wander loose, respect your neighbors rights and keep pets at home. a mile or 2 from ( m-15 )"
  • Liz G.
"The area looks pretty and is wooded, but dogs run free, which is fine most of them are friendly. Many though, run the deer and other wildlife so don't move here hoping to see deer in your yard on this block. The schools no longer have a middle shool/junior high, it was closed because of black mold. The 7th and 8th graders are now in the overcrowed highschool. Sports are great if your into football, otherwise the HS just does't really care to support the other sports. Most extra classes are gone at the school (Drama, Art, Jewerly) and classes are overcrowded. Back roads are always the last plowed, if they get plowed and wear and tear on your car. If you like the area stick to the main roads, the back ones are bad in the winter or if it rains heavy; sometimes the mud is worse then the snow. Really need a 4x4 to get out year round. Many parts have no cable, only local internet service and phone service. In bad weather the Dish and Direct TV go out, and sometimes even the internet. Cell phone service depends on subscriber and the weather. It is pretty and quite with mostly nice neighbors, just life is more difficult then areas closer even to Millington. My suggestion is do research on what is important to you, so you don't move out here to find out rising gas prices keep you home and propane prices keep you cold."

"This area is quiet, and calming back out in the woods. I drove past it yesterday and pulled into the driveway because I am interested. It has an awesome Quality Deer Management down the road, Beautiful landscaping, and the pine trees make it feel like you are up-north :-) That is the best feature of the house."
