As a central middle school alum, I can say I am not at all proud to have gone there. The teachers were a hit or miss, with some caring about their students and others purposely targeting. The administration was extremely horrible and did absolutely nothing to help their students but rather cared more about the funding for the school. Fights broke out constantly, and bullying is INSANE! The principle, or principle since there is a new one every year, did absolutely nothing to enforce the safety and security for the students. I can recall many students being harassed without anything being done. The students are very disrespectful towards each other, and their teachers without punishment. This left multiple students in each class being unable to get the proper learning because of this behavior. They have tried to get deans but even now there is idiotic rules that make children hate being at school. This is the prime time for adolescence of the kids and having to fear and dread going to school for these various reasons should not be a stress factor for them. They care more about the small things that a student does, such as having a phone in class or being late because they were let out late of lunch, rather than taking action on the bullying and the mental health of these young kids. It is such a disappointment to have this reputation and do absolutely nothing to improve it. If you want your child to succeed in school, and enjoy being able to talk about their days at school and what they’ve learned, I would STRONG recommend you choose another middle school than Central.

Northeast school is not ready for diversity especially young black boys. They don't listen to parents and concerns if the parents are African-American and even the staff is complaining of a racist work environment. The school doesn't hire African American teachers and the school is half or more 50% of African American students. The staff put on a face to play the role but, the staff don't care about the African American students that they label and make out to be a problem. Staff say horrible things about children and families. This is one of the worst districts for hiring people of color and they like to hire people they know and relatives.

Hi, I was a student here, and it was the best. I have autism, and previous schools let me be bullied because of my disability. This school was the first school that made me feel with I was worth something. Even now I still have never forgot any of the people I knew there. I love this school.
