Rickards is an awful school. Beset with a fossilized administration, devoid of interest/knowledge about the student body. Further, one gets the sense there is a cabal, a Clinique,- an in group among the administration that maintains a stasis even if incompetence and scurrilous behavior (including the voyeuristic, objectifying golf cart crowd/drivers). Take a look at the Dept of Ed./Professional Practices website and you’ll find Rickards specializing in seeking out those of questionable moral character. Don’t risk your child’s sense of self, intrinsic motivation and emotional well being by placing them at Rickards.

I went to this school for 10 years, did soccer, the tech club and the after school program. I enjoyed the teachers there, I was continuously bullied here though. I was bullied at this school for as long as I went there, the teachers didn't really do anything and when they did, they just said it was because they liked me. The teachers enjoy teaching the students, there is a teacher who does force religion on students though. Compared to other schools in the area, this one is my top pick only because of the teachers and learning environment. I had some teachers who made me feel as if I wasn't a good student and actually made fun of me. I'm not calling out the teachers due to now knowing if they still work there. Some of the teachers I had were wonderful, thank you to Mrs. Meader, Mrs. E, Mrs. Villa, and Mrs. Lamb for making this school a good one! I wish the teachers were nicer to the students and actually cared about the bullying that is going on. The teachers main concern is grades and not the well-being of the students themselves, they reward students very rarely and when they do, its with a fun pencil. They don't really keep the students motivated to keep doing good. I had bad grades all through my years there to not ever be shown how to study or if I do the work in a different way, it's wrong. When I moved to a different state for high school, I did so much better. If anyone has questions about a certain teacher (from when I went there), I'd be more than happy to answer them. Sadly, all of the good teachers I listed moved to different school districts.

The teacher said no Affinity at their school but I always have to cussing and they don't teach
