I would not recommend OHS because my daughter and son, currently enrolled in this school, claim it is unbearable. They say the bathrooms are disgusting and smell awful. They were insulting and disrespectful to my children, and both of them came home with bruises on their knees and faces. They had tripped over a janitor's bucket and mop. They said they hardly learned anything because their teachers were just handing out packets and basically saying, "Here you go, you can figure it out yourself." How ridiculous is that? But they both have decent grades. My daughter is currently struggling with her mental health and engaging in self-harm, she claims that it's from the mental stress that this school puts out on its students. Please do not send your kids to this school, for your sake and for theirs.

As a Student who has attended Ozark till my current junior year have overall had a great experience with the atmosphere and culture of the school. I do have some reservations about respecting privacy aswell as some abuse of power from a few of the staff. I also feel that students in most schools now value the number on a test score over actual education. Again I still believe that this school has done well but still has room to improve.

In terms of special education, I cannot tell you to run fast enough. The assistant principal is openly discriminatory against special education kids. The school principal does not know how to handle sped kids and does not believe in certain diagnosis and instead bashes the parents. The bullying my son faced in his time at the school is unmatched. Unfortunately if you’re a special education kid with any kind of diagnosis or behavioral IEP, you will be labeled as a problem child as subsequently, disciplined at every turn. We are actively speaking with lawyers because of the horrific treatment my son faced in special education here. There is no professionalism amongst the staff. The special education department falsifies their records by not documenting incidents, and then later attempt attempting to gaslight parents. There are over a dozen parents from the school facing the same exact issues and an open OCR complaint. Do not bring your SPED kid here

We loved this school. They helped us so much and everyone was so friendly and welcoming there!!
