We have people on our street we went to school with. "I’ve lived in this neighborhood for almost a year but in Elgin for almost 2. This is an awesome great community to live & be a part of. It reminds me of the small town that I grew up in where people take care of each other & support the schools & students as a community. The whole town comes to the Football, Basketball, Baseball & Volleyball games whether they have kids or not. It it quiet & the sky is beautiful. The police make sure our town stays safe."

"We have lived here for about a year and we love our neighbours. It is nice and quiet for the most part. Pre-k to high school is right down the road. It would be nice to see the people in out more. Elgin is small so you see a lot of the same people around if you get out and walk around or if you just do yard work people will dive by and waive. "
