Description

Welcome to Casita Lobos! Sleeps 4 This home is ONLY available for 6 months or longer The 2-bedroom, 2.5-bath home with office/den, is set in a quiet neighborhood with easy access to Peninsula attractions. Originally built in 1949 as an architect's studio, the adobe brick structure has been recently renovated and expanded by award-winning Carmel architect David Martin. Despite the feeling of being away from it all, it's just 10 minutes by car to shopping and dining in downtown Carmel, or to golf in Pebble Beach, or historic Pacific Grove, or visiting Cannery Row and the Monterey Bay Aquarium. A great room with living room, dining area and kitchen, looks through floor-to-ceiling windows into an interior courtyard that includes a water feature and a beautiful Japanese maple tree. The kitchen has a vintage Thermador gas cooktop and a modern Thermador double oven. A deep sink with pull-out faucet is surrounded by solid-surface countertops. Half-bath is at one end of the kitchen. A recessed step-down open den with gas fireplace is adjacent to the great room, an ideal spot for playing games or reading while lounging on cozy built-in seating. A floating staircase leads to an entertainment room on the second level, which features a 40-inch HDTV and built-in seating with Southwest-style pillows. Upstairs, the master bedroom suite features a wall of windows and distant ocean views. The en suite bath features a shower big enough for two people. A specially designed spa room can be accessed through French doors in the master bedroom, which offers a deep stainless steel tub with jets. On the main floor, a second bedroom is at the other end of the house, with a queen bed, seating, and an en suite bath that includes a large shower. The fenced backyard has a gourmet gas grill, patio seating and a firepit surrounded by mature plants and trees. Parking in the driveway and on the street. Small garage may be used for storage. **There is an additional fee for pets** (RLNE4268257)
