2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageA warning to parents; safety and values are not the priority here.Never place your child in an environment where they feel inherently uncomfortable. I am writing this to warn other families that RothChild leadership Academy has been a source of significant pain and distress for my family. While we live in a community that expects high standards and court values regarding the safety of our children RLA is currently doing the absolute opposite. Despite the leadership‘s name, There is a total lack of accountability. The environment feels unsafe and the core values the school claims to uphold are nonexistent in the daily reality of the hallways and classroom. If you value your child’s emotional well-being and physical safety, look elsewhere. Our experience has proven that this is not a place where children can thrive or feel protected.Parent Review3mo ago6 Reviews - Spencer High School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMore access to the water would be necessary and phones as well for emergency purposes. Students who have certain allergic reactions to the food need water and also access to their phones so their parents can be notified of their wellbeing. More options for the school lunches would be helpful to the parents who have kids with varying allergies. Vaping should not be allowed in the classroom or on the school premises, so more attention from the teachers and staff would be much appreciated.Other Review9mo ago5 Reviews - St. Marys Video And Communication Technology

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSt. Mary's Video And Communication Technology Magnet Academy, Is a really good school for children who want to succeed. St. Mary's helps let children grades K-5th learn what they want to learn, and helps children get used to being behind the camera. St. Mary's uses technology to help children learn. The majority of the students meet the expectations, and the teachers always make sure that students know to follow them.Student Review3y ago1 Reviews - Check out schools near 860 Pheasant Loop.

"Very little traffic and it’s almost always quick. There is a good bit of construction on the roads that limits movement during the day, but it’s clear around commute times. "

"I love looking at the homes. It’s a little tricky to navigate the neighborhood if you’re someone who usually takes the highway and you’re unfamiliar with the Cascade hills area"

"I grew up in this area and I moved back around a yr ago. It has deteriorated over the yrs, sadly. The south side has alot of violence:shootings,drugs,break-ins and gang violence. There has been a few shootings recently in oakland park. There is a good bit of abandoned houses in the neighborhood. We definitely keep the doors locked. The schools are terrible,If we stay in the area will be hard-shipping my kids or home schooling next yr. "

"commuting is not bad at all there's a bus stop at almost every corner so there's no problem of getting around only thing is that there's not enough places that I can go and just enjoy myself within the city being that there's a lot segregation and discrimination going on within this beautiful city in which I think if we had outlets to enjoy it will decrease the unneighborly feel of the city"

"Lock your doors. There is a big mix of lifestyles here and that makes crime abundant. The area needs gentrification and cleanup in places. Then it would be safer for everyone. Houses could be more affordable if they were not gems in the rough. "

"I’ve lived here for 5 years. I love the park but the crime is HIGH HIGH HIGH. The houses are historic but also you have to deal with historic house issues...flooding, rodents, drafts, creaks, bugs. "
