I have two children attending this school. My oldest has had to endure bulling by the same child for 4 years. This child recent had an incident that involved social media. The Principle Mrs. Sanchez asked my child if they felt safe and they said not really. Mrs. Sanchez then said well if any thing happens again then let her know. Elk Grove is suppose to have a zero tolerance of bullying. My second child's teacher had several issue with their behavior at the start of the year but never mentioned any of the issues until recently. After a couple of issues mentioned to me by the teacher they concluded that this child has a social issues that requires counseling.Shortly after this a counselor contacted us and informed us of this recommendation. We requested understanding from the teacher the reasoning behind this recommendation. The teacher first response was that they did not know what the program did just that it was recommended. This school does not desire to work with parents they just assume they know what is best for your children over you. Even though my wife has a masters and I a bachelor degree.

My child is struggling in an overwhelming environmental where many students are not following the school rules

I live in the Midwest now but I used to go to EHMS 7-8 from 2020-2022. My years were SO HORRIBLE! There would be fights everyday even in the classroom. Students would body shame me because I am really skinny and I’m not strong enough, but those people do it to others either they are fat, or something else! I would cry at home sometimes after school. I am so glad I graduated EHMS. I moved to the Midwest after 14 years living in Sacramento. Worst school years too. THE ONLY THING THAT IS GOOD AT THIS SCHOOL IS THE TEACHERS AND COUNSELORS. They are really supportive
