this school is ok but if the emotional support was beater i wood not have 2 lives reling on me and the kids are mean

this school has cockroach's there's flies at lunch there is mold in the bread and there are kids who bully and there are kids crying because of teachers but and they have this thing where 5th grade can missed days of senior week because about 10 kids are bad so the whole 5th grade will suffer because of the bad kids.

i love this school no harassment or anything the teachers are nice so 10 out of 10

The teachers here have an authority problem. They don’t treat students with respect but expect we do. The main one is a teacher who says “girls here have no self respect.” But yet treat the boys especially troublesome boys as if they’re not causing a ruckus with respect immediately, this district should train their employees like adults. Not ruthless childish children. If you love your child do NOT send them here.

While , the school claims to be nurturing and safe for students with disabilities, it is actually hostile and even worse if the student is gifted. They work around the system to make the experience so uncomfortable for the student that eventually they want to leave. Administration and medical teams do not observe medical professional’s guidance, nor provide encouragement for their success. The only quality gained from time spent there was to learn how uncomfortable school can be..

The rating I gave back in 2015 was based on my personal experience as a student at this school, which was not the greatest. When I chose to send my daughter here, I had high hopes that things might have improved, but unfortunately, I couldn’t have been more wrong.To be fair, there are some wonderful teachers and staff who genuinely care about enriching children’s lives. I still keep in contact with a few of the teachers who truly impacted me as a student, and I’ll always be grateful for them.However, my recent experience as a parent—especially with an ESE student—has taught me how broken the system can be. The administration did not show the level of care and humanity that every child deserves. Sadly, this isn’t unique to this school; many public schools struggle in the same way unless you are one of the lucky ones.To other parents, my strongest recommendation is this: advocate fiercely for your child. If something doesn’t seem right, speak up. Hire education advocates if you can, reach out to your community for support, and educate yourself. Study your procedural safeguards, research the laws that protect ESE students, and learn the correct terminology and procedures—because the school will not guide you through them.We have since switched to another school, and the difference has been night and day. The empathy, care, and understanding we’ve experienced elsewhere made it clear how much we were missing at West Gate. You could not pay me to send another one of my children back here.To any parent who may be struggling: I wish you the best of luck, and please know you’re not alone.

Allapattah School has been a wonderful experience for my daughter and for our family. From the first day, she has felt welcomed, supported, and motivated to learn. The teachers are caring, patient, and truly dedicated to each child’s success. They take the time to understand every student’s needs and make learning fun, engaging, and meaningful. I have seen so much growth in my daughter—academically, emotionally, and socially—and that is because of the amazing teachers and staff who go above and beyond every day. I am truly grateful for Allapattah School and highly recommend it to any family looking for a loving and supportive learning environment.
