There have been multiple instances of children being caught with guns. There are cameras facing every bathroom and they’ll have people standing and mean mugging your child right in front of the bathroom and god forbid your child goes to the bathroom during a time others are because they send the police officer into the bathroom to look under the stalls without knocking or anything. The school has a high graduation rate because teachers and principals just try to push the kids through your child will not learn anything here. Teachers don’t correct student behaviors unless it’s directed at them. Admin walk around in the hallway to ‘catch’ students but they ignore clear problem students and go straight for the others. They also make the special kids go around and clean the school like a janitor team. I’m pretty sure that’s not okay?

I have been leaving in the community where this school is located. I have heard AND seen wonderful things! I am totally excited about the work the Ag teacher is doing! I see that they have a garden outside for the students to learn how to cultivate and grow their own foods! You don't see these types of programs at other middle schools. I commend the county and the school administration for having the vision to include this as part of the curriculum.

We feel incredibly fortunate to be a part of the Patriots Elementary family. Both of our boys just completed milestone years: one graduating from 3rd grade and the other finishing kindergarten. Our experience has been nothing short of exceptional.The teachers at Patriots are caring, patient, and genuinely invested in each child’s success. Our third grader’s teachers challenged and supported him every step of the way, encouraging his curiosity and helping him grow both academically and personally. The kindergarten staff made our youngest feel right at home from day one, creating a warm and nurturing environment that made the transition to “big kid school” so much easier for our family.The entire Patriots staff, from the front office to the administration, has always been friendly, responsive, and supportive. School events are well-organized and engaging for the whole family, helping us feel connected and building a strong sense of community. We love how the school brings together families from the neighborhood and creates a welcoming space for everyone.Patriots Elementary is more than just a school. It’s a community where students, parents, and staff all work together. We’re so grateful for the positive experiences our boys have had here and can’t recommend Patriots highly enough.I would encourage fellow parents to remember that ratings like those on GreatSchools often act as a proxy for broader societal biases around race and socioeconomic class. As longtime residents of the area, we specifically chose this community for its resemblance to the diverse, middle-class environment we were privileged to grow up with in Charlotte, which we preferred that over less inclusive communities with higher GreatSchools ratings that simply reflect higher average socioeconomic status.
