We searched the region for a school that met our desires in a price range that we could manage. We LOVE Hollis, and the atmosphere among the students is incredible. There is a true sense of community among the kids that I have never seen anywhere. An example, one older student made it his goal to recruit other kids to create a shoe tying crew. They want to make sure that they are ready to help the younger kids. Another example is when my kindergartener was skating at the school during an event and was unsure on wheels, two older girls swooped in and flanked her and helped her go. They cultivate an atmosphere of acceptance and compassion while keeping the educational standards exceptional. These teachers truly care about the welfare of the students, they have adapted and advanced their programming and made updates to the facilities to keep improving the school. I see by the previous comments that there may have been some issues in the past, but I am here to tell you that in the 3 years we have been there that is not our experience AT ALL. We are not one of the wealthy families, we don't excel through money, we excel through character and hard work. They DO use the 7 habits, but they use it as a guideline to help nurture our learners into leaders.I strongly encourage families to visit Hollis!
