Being a military family, we have had exposure to different school systems in different states. This school, while it outperforms some of its equals in other districts in the area, is stuck in the dark ages. The website is useless, the communication is poor, and the principle doesn't follow up when warranted. In order to find out your assigned teachers you literally have to drive to the school to read a list posted on a window. The testing results at the lower levels are left to the interpretation of the teacher. One teacher we had last year was in a career track program so there was a substitute for literally 1/3 of the year. It was rediculous. While it is the lesser of the evils when it comes to the Groton district or especially New London, it is by no means a 7 when compared to say, a Virginia lvl 7 school. It's really, just ok.

3 out of 5 stars. One star for extracurricular activities and one star for guidance. Other then that I can assure you that the public schools are failing under this corrupted common core system. Also, forget about special education because it is poorly managed. Left this school because of staff performance.
