So far, it is clear to me that the principal and teachers are very concerned about the upcoming standardized testing (state/district tests). I'm hoping that this same energy is placed on the overall academics and not only towards achieving high test scores. 4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageNow with me, it goes back 50+ years as a student at Compton High School, I was 16 years old and a 10th grader, and I dropped out. Compton High School is somewhat to blame but some goes to Walton Junior High School - I wasn’t prepared for High School but like Walton Jr. High helped some. It is US Army time at 17; it was a good move for me hands down. I grew up fast and I matured too with all the responsibilities offered to me in the army - 13 years of active duty army, and it is here that I received my high school diploma in 1975 in the army now! You can still achieve a goal even when the school is dropping the ball, not to educate you. At age 70, I received my Bachelor of Ministry degree plus I received a GPA of 4.0 (2 schools first 3.7 GPA; second 4.0).
