8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageReally disappointed in the transportation system. They're constantly canceling the bus. The school wants voters to approve them to borrow more money to build stuff for the school like a new track. But the school can't even manage their transportation system. I think they should worry about getting the kids to school first before they worry about spending taxpayer dollars on new flashy stuff.Parent Review2y ago5 Reviews - Mattawan Early Elementary School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSchool has no due process and targets children with disabilities. My children used to love school but dread having to go now. The principal is non responsive as well and pushed issues off onto the Social worker with absolutely no follow up. My son also had an ice chunk thrown at his face but due to lack of supervision went all day with a huge bruise on his cheek and concussion without me being contacted at all. Go to Paw Paw instead of you are considering between the two.Parent Review3y ago6 Reviews - Mattawan High School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI wish I would have never sent my child to this school. Since attending high school his mental health has depleted drastically. The school allows bullies to run free. The worst part is if you're not the cookie cutter white kid you are horribly bullied. I can't even imagine what other minorities are facing in that school. Two years was too much. I'm pulling my son and I hope to be able to get my notes and proof together and take it to the news. They still allow teachers that have done horrible things to still work there. My child has and IEP and is never accommodated and they do not care about anything other than sports and looking good. Sure its pretty on the outside but on the inside its rotten. The community in a whole is awful and it shows in the children unfortunately. Most parents seem to be stuck in the past and think bullying is fine as ling as it doesn't happen to their kid. I highly do not recommend this school district.Parent Review11mo ago22 Reviews - Mattawan Middle School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating Averagethis school is quite racist and fascist, there are swastikas drawn in the bathroom stalls, when the teachers tell people in the cafeteria to raze their hand most do a nazi salute. (And they know what it means) kids will often start singing the USSR anthem. lot of interesting jokes here.... the band is really good! do recommend if you want your kids to be all music like. really good class options for students, home ek, Digal media, art. the teachers will help but only if you reach out to them. does not keep students to the dress code at all (there will be girls with tank tops.) does not take care of bulling well.has a therapy dog! teachers try's to give students work but it is almost all ways under grade level. good sports from what I hear. you take school trips in 6-th grade and 8-th grade. Mr. Boswell is most likely the best band teacher out there. school makes to so you have to lean Spanish for two years. the kids are not at all LGBTQ+ friendly but the teachers are. and that's all. I've been going to Mattawan my whole life and over all it's a good school. but needs to address the racism and fascism. :3>Student Review1y ago10 Reviews - Check out schools near 848 E Eagle Trce.

"You can walk with your kids carefully and in a contained fashion, as well as your dogs, with caution. While a country road, it’s still well traveled and at 45-55 mph."

"Lots of dog people here. People are normally dog friendly even if they don’t have dogs. This place could use a dedicated dog park though. "
