Plainfield high school is just one of the many schools that make up the school district of Plainfield. A lot of people tend to complain about the school itself without having actually experienced going there, its always the hearsay, but I attended PHS. I had the opportunity to attend honor and advance placement classes, which I believe did their jobs; as well as teachers who helped me decide to attend university when I personally did not see my own potential, so now I can have the privilege to say I am an engineer. There are other schools in the district but just as this one is struggling to have teachers all the other schools are in the same position. I would see students who would transfer from these so called better schools like PAAAS or Barack and they would find themselves placed in the lower level classes and these same students would comment on how they would not even have a teacher for a whole school year. So this just goes to show that school isn't always what people make it seem like, whether you go to a highly rated school or not; with that being said I also believe that the schools need better funding to help their students and faculty be able to take a step towards great things.

Okay so, I’ve been at this school for 3 years (6-8) and I was very disappointed. Don’t get me wrong some teachers are nice but that’s only very few of them. Every class I had the teachers were just rude and acted like they were better than the students, counselors weren’t better and very snobby and rude. The main principal was nice but the vice principals were horrible. Mind you this school had no fans so every day it would be sweating madness inside since it would be very stuffy inside the classrooms.

The school overall atmosphere is a positive one. The teachers have been very consistent with what the expectations and overall performance required of the students. My kids have been there since kindergarten and are currently and 4th and 5th grades. Some noteworthy names includes principal Dr.cooper, mr . Smith music teacher, mrs Harris 3rd grade and a few others staff and teachers....all excellent at what they do. Would habe like to see more afterschool activities and making this school stop until the 8th grade.

This school is wonderful! All my kids graduated from here and are well on their way to becoming great citizens. Thank you so much Plainfield!

Sure, the place is nice but the only problem is the "privilages" that a student needs to continue enjoying the school. Heres the thing, not everyone makes these problems, not only that but even if you cancel the stuff we are allowed to do, they will continue to do it. What type of learning is that? Another problem is, you say your preparing us for the future yet the school is like an office. The manager is the teacher telling us what to do and we are the workers listening to what they tell us to do.
