"I’ve lived in this neighborhood for 6 years and love it! The established residents look out for eachother. It is dog friendly. Evenings on the river a perfect complement of stargazing and listening to the crickets. The smell of the redwoods after the first rain. "
  • David D.
"People want to be left alone, very poor neighborhoods, lots of homeless the further west you go. Look under any bridge & you will find them. Sonoma county busses them out to Guernville and anywhere in between. "
  • Trulia User
"This is a retirement area. Not very friendly very opinionated people. Very nosy people live in the whole town"
  • Rebecca A.
"Dogs are only welcome if they are quiet and locked up. Mostly a retirement community there are no sidewalks the town is three block long not even a stop light here everything closes at eleven pm "

"I love Forestville, CA. I visit here a couple of times a year, and really believe that it's hard to beat the quality of life. Close to the Russian River, the ocean, state parks, Santa Rosa and Sebastapol. A very nice airpot right at your doorstep. World class wineries in you backyard. This is truly paradise!"
  • wm
"A throwback to the summers of yesteryear but with the best of the present. Open minded folks all sharing this small community of year round residents and part time residents. Wonderful weather and lots to do in surrounding areas. A slice of heaven close to the city"
  • wm
"Have a 2nd home in Summerhome Park-peaceful during most of the year-comes alive during summer when families open their homes but not in a crazy way. Beautiful vistas and close to so much. Healdsburg Guerneville around the corner. Wineries, state parks, outdoor activities. Nice folks as neighbors. very open minded "

"We love living in Forestville! The people are friendly and involved. It's safe. The schools are very good. There are many opportunities available within a few miles; hiking through the redwoods, canoeing down the Russian River, wine tasting, eating in a plethora of wonderful restaurants, enjoying cultural and sporting events or shopping at the malls. Driving home along River Road, looking out over the vineyards, there isn't a time I don't think about how gorgeous it is here and how grateful I am to live in such a place. As I write this, the leaves are a profusion of color that must rival New England's trees. In the newspaper today, the headline touts Trip Advisor's assessment that Sonoma County is "the premier wine destination in the United States and the second wine destination in the world, after Tuscany in Italy."
