As a parent of two students, I appreciate that the school offers strong programs in arts, sports, and many extracurricular activities. Those opportunities are a real positive for the students.However, the administrative side is frustrating. The front office feels bureaucratic, and it’s almost impossible to speak with a counselor or staff member without waiting a week or more.In addition, the service at the front desk has felt unprofessional and unwelcoming at times unless you are PTA parent or such. Since it’s the first point of contact for parents, a more respectful and helpful attitude would make a big difference.Lastly, some classes assign an excessive amount of homework, even during school breaks, which doesn’t seem to consider students’ need for rest physically and mentally.

My son is currently in TK. He is autistic level 2 nonverbal and is unable to be potty trained currently. Since the first Meet the Principal event, where I informed them of his diagnosis and need for an IEP, they were quick to jump in and help with any accommodations he required. The IEP process was quick and smooth, and he had a whole village of people supporting him on the IEP team. It has been like night and day compared to my older son's IEP process at a neighboring elementary school. My little one has grown so much since his first day of school. He can now read, and went from parallel playing to making a few friends!
